Sammon Supports Kilcock Business Association
As part of its ongoing CSR activities, Sammon Group sponsored the Kilcock Community Calendar distributed by local Kilcock Business Association.
Sammon Group has been great supporters to the Kilcock Business Association over the last few years, in events such as the Kilcock Canal Festival and more recently the Kilcock Business Association 2012 Calendar.
The Kilcock Business Association is a non-profit organisation that has been formed in 2009 to promote Kilcock and support the many businesses in Kilcock. The association works on behalf of local businesses to encourage people to shop and conduct as much business in Kilcock as possible which in turn will lead to regeneration and investment.
Launching the calendar were Ger Kiely on behalf of Sammon Group and Thomas Byrne, Bruce Betting.
The launch of the scenic local calendar in November was the highlight of a special presentation on how to keep your business afloat in the current economic climate. Pictures representing each month include the St. Patrick’s Day duck race, a frozen royal canal, a successful Kilcock Festival 2011, as well as the Under 16 County Football Champion and Ladies Championship winner.
The proceeds of the sale of the calendars will go to Kilcock Business Association community events, such as the visit of Santa Claus, Duck Race on the canal on St. Patricks Day and a 3 day community festival in June.
“We are delighted that the sales of the calendar have gone so well. We came up with the idea of the calendar to raise funds to put back into the community and to help run community events. This would not have been possible without the kind support of Sammon Group, our advertisers and of course everyone who buys a calendar.” Tara Lane, PRO of the Kilcock Business Association.
Sammon realises the importance of community involvement and the benefits it can bring to the business while at the same time making a positive social impact.
