Sammon Group Is Participating In UK Education Conference

August 2010 - Remodelling Education Spaces takes place on 13 and 14 September in Manchester and is a two day conference and exhibition focusing specifically on the refurbishment of existing schools, colleges and universities.

Mukund Patel, Business Development Director, Sammon Contracting UK, will be participating in a Keynote Panel Discussion on 14 September. This session is all about “The ‘free’ school model – how free would it be?”.
Other speakers in the panel are Graham Burns, Director and Solicitor, TPP Law, Simon Lucas, Head of Education and Children’s Services, EC Harris and Carl-Gustaf Stawström, Secretary General, Swedish Association of Independent Schools.

The event could not be timelier with the recently announced Free School Model which allows schools to be state-funded and to be run by parents, teachers or charities. Around 700 groups have already expressed interest in setting up new schools in their areas.
