Strengthening Presence In United Kingdom

Miceál Sammon announced the opening of the newest Sammon office in London; Sammon Contracting Limited UK.

This addition takes the number of Sammon entities across the world to seven including its headquarters in Kilcock, Ireland and branches in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Estonia, Tripoli and now UK. Inspite of the current recessionary market conditions where companies are scaling back operations, Sammon Group is expanding its worldwide presence as it believes that there is a continuous and increasing need for social infrastructure projects.

“We are pleased to announce that the long awaited entry of the Sammon Group to the UK is at last here. Sammon Group exhibited at BSEC 2010 in the UK on 24 and 25 February after a very successful BSEC conference in Abu Dhabi. We are proud to launch the Sammon expertise into building schools to the UK and I have appointed Brendan Sheridan as Chief Operating Officer for the UK.” said Mr. Sammon.

There will be an initial start-up team of 4 in the UK office comprising of Brendan Sheridan, Chief Operating Officer UK, Mukund Patel, Business Development Director UK, Gabriel Knight, Civil Manager and Mark Cronin on administration, prequalification and bids.

BSEC exhibition proved to be very valuable to raise awareness in the UK about Sammon Group’s entry to the market, the portfolio of completed projects and the services that are being offered.
