Sammon Wins Contractor of the Year Award

Another milestone for Sammon Group as the company has won the award for “Contractor of the Year” at the annual CMG Building and Design Awards in Ireland.

The CMG Building and Design Awards recognise success in the building, engineering and architecture professions during the past year with a focus on best practice, sustainable design and innovation. The high-profile ceremony, held at the Four Seasons hotel in Dublin, gathered Ireland’s top senior level directors, chief executives and management from all disciplines of the industry.

Sammon Group had enough to celebrate as the company was shortlisted for 3 prestigious awards which included “Contractor of the Year” Award for Sammon Contracting, “Specialist Contractor of the Year” for Miceál Sammon Woodcraft and “Educational Building of the Year” for Donabate Community College.

This success comes after last year’s CMG Building & Design Awards ceremony when the company was shortlisted for 3 categories and won 2 prestigious awards; “Irish Building of the Year” Award for the Credit Union building in Clondalkin and Sammon Group’s Founder and CEO, Miceál Sammon was selected for “Chief Executive of Year” Award.

GCC Construction Week Awards
In the UAE, Sammon Group was also recognised for its extraordinary capabilities in the construction field as again the company was nominated for leading construction awards.
Now in their 7th year, the Construction Week Awards is the foremost event celebrating the achievements of the Gulf region’s construction contractors.
Sammon Group has been shortlisted for the following categories: GCC Contractor of the Year, GCC Infrastructure Project of the Year for Phase 1 - Abu Dhabi Future School Program and Miceál Sammon for GCC Construction Executive of the Year, this award is given to a senior executive who demonstrates the greatest impact on his construction-related business in the last one year.



Martin Heffernan, Miceál Sammon and David O'Ferrall are handed over the award for Contractor of the Year at the annual CMG Building & Design Awards.
