The Sammon Group recently took part in the CIF Construction Safety Week which incorporated a range of site toolbox talks, presentations, focused events, product demonstrations etc. During the week presentations were hosted at our headquarters and on site covering the following topics:
- Safety at heights
- Plant & Machinery
- Occupational Health
- Mental Health and Driving for Work.
Events included the RSA roadshow visiting our Bray site, Rosemarie Plant(Health Promotion Officer) from the HSE presenting on how to successfully quit smoking, a presentation by Helen Chan(Aware) on mental health awareness, product demonstrations by Loxam, M & E supplies and Chain & Rope Supplies ltd. Other events included a school visit and presentation’s to Gaelscoil Ui Riada, Kilcock, a related art competition etc. Our sites also took part in the “Stand down for safety” at 12noon on Monday October 23rd last as requested by the CIF in order to highlight the importance of safety in our industry.
We are delighted to have been part of this great initiative and are looking forward to 2018’s campaign already.
