Miceál is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sammon Group. As an international entrepreneur, he has created a dynamic and innovative culture within the Group, which has business interests across three continents, whilst preserving the core family business values on which the company was founded.
Miceál is responsible for corporate strategy, long-term planning and setting the direction of the company’s culture, management practices and innovation. With more than 20 years of experience, he has a deep understanding of construction in social infrastructure markets and is highly regarded by international education experts as being one of the leading visionaries in the delivery of innovative education infrastructure.

Cathy Sammon Executive Director
Cathy is Co-founder and an Executive Director of the Sammon Group. Cathy has over 20 years international business experience in construction, tourism, hospitality and entertainment sectors.
Cathy represents the family shareholding on the board and sits on the investment and strategy committees. Her involvement in the strategy team has brought a measured perspective to the growth and direction of the Group over the last number of years.

Peter Madden FCMA Group Chief Financial Officer
Peter is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, President of the Financial Executive Association and brings a wealth of international experience in the development of finance structures to support the rapid growth of the Group.
Peter spent 15 years with Aryzta (formerly IAWS Group), an international food group as a Finance Director for a number of key FMCG subsidiaries. He served as Corporate Director for the USA and had responsibility for the establishment of IAWS’ operations in the United States through the development of joint venture arrangements and acquisitions.
In 2004 Peter was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Arnott’s Holdings, a property and retail group based in Ireland, where he was responsible for a successful restructuring of the group, implementing new work practices, processes and systems.

John Dennehy Non-Executive Director
John Dennehy has a BA in Education, M.Sc in Educational Management and attended the Leadership for the 21st Century Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government in Harvard. Mr. Dennehy was Secretary General of Ireland’s Ministry of Education and Science and was directly responsible to the Government and to Parliament for an annual budget in excess of €9b euro. In this role he was actively engaged in a wide range of activities covering the key elements of policy planning, quality assurance, resourcing, regulation and evaluation, as well as ensuring the provision of a broad range of support services for all levels of education. He led Ireland’s highly successful Education Presidency of the European Union in 2004, He was Chairman of Ireland’s Teacher In-Career Development Committee, Secretary to the ground-breaking Review Body on Irish Education, a member of the National Council for Curriculum and Development and Chairman of the Education Committee of the OECD (Paris), a body regarded internationally as the leading education committee in the world.

Joe Geoghegan Non-Executive Director
Joe has a BA in Economics and Politics, is Honorary Consul of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Ireland and Founding and Board Director of Joint Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce.
Joe held positions as the International Sales and Marketing Director with Kindle Banking Systems, Assistant Chief Executive, Coras Trachtala/Irish Export Board (CTT) and Regional Director Asia-Pacific, CTT, based in Singapore.
Joe established Kindle as leading supplier of core banking systems in Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Carribean. He currently advises Irish Companies on international business development. |

Stephen McKenna Group Legal Counsel/ Group Company Secretary
Stephen is the head of the Sammon Group Legal Department and is a solicitor/lawyer qualified to practice in Ireland, England and Wales. He coordinates the handling of Sammon Group legal, corporate and regulatory matters in all jurisdictions in which the Group operates.
In 2010 Stephen joined Sammon Group having spent six years with Eversheds, where he advised clients on various domestic and international commercial transactions, corporate structuring options, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, tax based investments, commercial investments and commercial contracts.
Stephen plays an important role in managing the group’s continued expansion, through establishing in new jurisdictions, negotiating construction contracts and structuring numerous joint ventures and commercial arrangements.
